Agriculture and Natural Resources Specialist

This is a Public Service Professional position in the Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) area, providing educational programming in production agriculture, horticulture, and natural resources to a wide variety of audiences. The successful candidate will work closely with advisory groups, community leaders, and public officials to analyze data, identify needs, and develop educational programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs in agriculture and natural resources for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with advisory groups, community leaders, and public officials to identify needs and develop programs.
- Provide educational opportunities in production agriculture, horticulture, and natural resources through multiple teaching methods.
- Manage the ANR program in Ware County, ensuring equitable access to educational opportunities for the county's varied socio-economic population.
- Develop and conduct interdisciplinary programs with other staff members based on critical issues.
- A Master's degree in Agriculture or a related area.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to speak to/teach large groups of residents.
- Ability to organize and carry out activities and programming for youth.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with county, district, and state staff, local government employees, and clientele.
