Job Summary:

The State Authorization Coordinator works closely with local clinical and business office staff, as well as corporate Finance, to ensure timely authorizations, approvals from payer funding sources, and utilization monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Clinical teams to request authorizations from payer funding sources in a timely manner.
  • Monitors payer web portals for authorization approvals.
  • Ensures accurate and thorough entry of payers and authorizations in the Revenue Cycle system.
  • Audits and reports utilization and expirations impacting billing processes.
  • Participates in meetings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Able to work independently and stay on task.
  • Organized, accurate, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage time, make decisions, and solve problems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and other computer-related skills.
  • Ability to learn various software applications.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
