As a Member Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in our organization, acting as the primary point of contact for our members. Your responsibilities will include assisting with various transactions, from account openings to loan applications, ensuring that each member receives tailored support to meet their financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist members in establishing new accounts, processing transactions, and applying for loans while providing accurate information on financial products and services.
- Deliver warm, professional, and personalized service to every member who interacts with the credit union.
- Provide detailed information regarding credit union offerings and refer members to the appropriate departments when necessary.
- Assess members' financial needs to recommend suitable products and services that align with their goals.
- Educate members on the use of Interactive Teller Machines and assist as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to achieve organizational objectives and maintain a supportive work environment.
- Engage in community events and outreach initiatives to promote financial literacy and strengthen ties with local residents and organizations.
- Work a 32-hour week, including multiple Saturdays each month.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a financial institution or a service/sales role, or an Associate's Degree.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of individuals.
- Demonstrated accuracy, productivity, and commitment to member service.
- Punctuality and a professional appearance are essential, along with proper business telephone etiquette.
- Familiarity with software applications such as Microsoft Office and Windows.
- Comprehensive knowledge of credit union services.
- Bilingual proficiency is preferred but not mandatory.
Branch Hours: Monday-Thursday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday: 8:30 am to Noon.
