Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in an assigned specialty or sub-specialty clinic.
  • Perform a variety of general and specialized nursing duties as part of a total healthcare team to provide complete evaluations.
  • Assist the head nurse in supervising other clinic personnel and may substitute for this person in their absence.
  • May supervise and instruct subordinate nursing personnel.
  • Receives supervision from the head nurse or physician and functions independently within guidelines.
Requirements
  • At least one year of RN nursing experience, preferably in Pediatrics.
  • Pediatrics general and/or specialty experience (Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Adolescent Medicine, and Infectious Disease) is highly desirable.
  • Mental Health, Case Management, and/or OB/GYN experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social resources and referral processes is essential.
Education and Licensure
  • Completion of a Board of Nursing accredited program of professional nursing or scheduled to complete a program within 120 days of applying for a position.
  • Current Registered Nursing license in the state of Texas or a temporary permit from the Board of Nursing to practice professional nursing pending full licensure in the state of Texas.
Experience
  • No experience required, but new graduates must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) on the first attempt.
