Harvest Preparatory Academy, a K-12 public charter institution, is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of Security Personnel at our Yuma location. The role of the school security officer is crucial in fostering a safe environment for students, staff, and faculty while ensuring the integrity of the facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

The duties of the Security Personnel include, but are not limited to:

  1. Monitoring all individuals on school premises to uphold safety standards and enforce school regulations.
  2. Assisting with campus events and conducting thorough inspections of school grounds.
  3. Supporting the opening and closing procedures of the school facilities on a daily basis.
  4. Responding to emergencies and collaborating with professional staff and law enforcement when necessary.
  5. Providing guidance to visitors and ensuring proper identification is presented.
  6. Addressing unauthorized individuals and escorting them off the premises.
  7. Reporting any incidents of misconduct, unauthorized access, or vandalism to the appropriate authorities.
  8. Promoting a culture of responsibility among students by serving as a positive role model.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or GED is required.
  2. 1-2 years of prior experience in a security role is preferred.
  3. Basic understanding of security protocols and practices.
  4. Proficient communication skills in English.
  5. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  6. Must meet the physical requirements necessary for the role.
  7. Exemplary integrity and moral character are essential.
