Carolina Therapeutic Services is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our clinical team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to our patients, working closely with our therapists, care coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver medication management and primary medical care services to patients
- Maintain accurate and current patient records
- Schedule and administer follow-up appointments as required
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver premium care to patients
- Oversee and facilitate all aspects related to the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Waiver
- Perform physical exams and order diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and treatments under the supervision of a physician licensed in NC or according to established policies and protocols
- Provide verbal and/or written communication regarding prescribed medications
- Sign all orders regarding Primary Care at the clinical facility within the scope of the agency policies and protocols
- Report information about the individual's medical condition to supervising physicians to assist with the established diagnosis and appropriate course of treatment
- Assess individuals for mental health disorders and make an appropriate DSM diagnosis(es)
- Ensure that services are delivered in a medically appropriate manner and care provided follows the appropriate state Medical Board guidelines
- Complete clinical documentation and submit billing reports according to CTS Health's policies and procedures
- Review and sign off on clinical assessments completed by provisionally licensed staff
- Review all clinical documentation for accuracy of provisionally licensed staff
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to appropriate use of client information
- Participate in audits and reviews as requested
- Complete reviews and service orders deeming medical necessity for services
- Conduct psychiatric monitoring reviews for Intensive Alternative Family Treatment Fidelity
- Perform other duties and activities as appropriate and/or assigned by CTS Health, Inc.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (preferred)
- One year post-graduate experience in MH/SA/DD (preferred)
- One year experience with EMR systems (preferred)
- People-oriented and autonomous/independent
- Ability to work with little direction
- Graduate from accredited PA or NP program
- PMHNP certification or PA with 2-3 years' experience
- Valid unrestricted NC License
- Active DEA License
- Experience treating psychiatric disorders in both children and adults
- Experience or interest in treating adults with substance use disorder
