About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Petroleum Sales Consultant to join our team at Blu Petroleum, Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth in your territory by closing new business and servicing existing customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Closing New Business: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the wholesale petroleum industry, with a focus on expanding our customer base in the Northwest Indiana and Chicago, IL areas.
  • Servicing Existing Customers: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded, and identifying opportunities to increase sales and revenue.
  • Developing Sales Action Plans: Create and implement sales strategies to achieve sales goals, including developing and executing sales plans, setting targets, and tracking progress.
  • Improving Margins and Productivity: Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities to improve margins and productivity, and develop and implement cost-effective strategies to achieve these goals.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in wholesale field sales, with a focus on the petroleum industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the wholesale petroleum industry, including market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Sales Skills: Proven sales skills, with a track record of closing new business and exceeding sales targets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
