Position Overview

As a Senior Infant Educator, you will play a vital role in nurturing the early developmental stages of our youngest learners at Kids R Kids Learning Academy of Lawler Farm. Your primary responsibility will be to create and sustain a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of infants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a safe, affectionate, and engaging environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain rigorous hygiene standards.
  • Supervise and care for a group of infants, ensuring their well-being.
  • Support the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of each child.
  • Provide loving and attentive care to meet the emotional and physical needs of the children throughout the day.
  • Design and implement age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities tailored to the developmental stages of the infants.
  • Engage with children through both physical interaction and verbal communication.
  • Assist infants with personal hygiene, including diaper changes and potty training as needed.
  • Share meals with the children, fostering a communal atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to ensure a cohesive approach to child development.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain knowledge of state licensing requirements and policies.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Prior experience in childcare, education, or related fields.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with infants.
  • A positive, patient attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (can be obtained upon hire).
  • A background check and fingerprinting (can be fulfilled upon hire).
  • The physical capability to engage actively with infants, including lifting and playing on the floor.
