Job Summary:

The Environmental Project Manager will be responsible for reviewing environmental due diligence, including Phase I's and Phase II's, to identify cases of non-compliance with ASTM and CERCLA regulations and non-conformance with company policy and ASTM standards for proposed facilities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with the innocent landowner defense under CERCLA regulations and handle hazardous materials in compliance with waste regulations (i.e., RCRA) and worker health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review environmental due diligence reports to identify potential environmental risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with company policy and ASTM standards.
  • Coordinate with Environmental Counsel to ensure all necessary environmental permits are obtained and maintained.
  • Assist in the review and implementation of materials management plans and health and safety plans.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA's Lead standard and OSHA's Asbestos standard.
  • Work with HQ and counsel to reduce environmental liability and maintain communication with counsel, regions, and government.

Requirements:

  • Environmental Science Degree REQUIRED.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in Environmental Project Management is REQUIRED.
  • Project Management Professional Certification desired.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels from team members to executive management.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and motivate others.
  • Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation, leadership, and team orientation.
