As a Registered Nurse in our Orthopedic and Spine Specialty unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage."

About the Unit:

Our newly outfitted 32-bed Orthopedic & Spine Specialty unit is committed to the care of post-operative patients. Our well-established care team consists of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care techs, clinical nurse coordinators, and unit secretaries. We have a patient-centered therapy gym located in the department to allow for close collaboration with our therapy team.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children's healthcare services. We offer the region's only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee.
