The Emerald Peek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a leading healthcare provider seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursing units.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated professional to lead our team in delivering exceptional patient care. As an RN Unit Manager, you will be responsible for supervising licensed and non-licensed staff, maintaining quality assurance programs, and developing methods for coordination of nursing services.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Duties: Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting as necessary.
- Supervisory Roles: Day-to-day supervision of staff, including counseling, disciplinary action, evaluations, and one-to-one in-service training.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing unit.
- Nursing Services Coordination: Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong leadership and supervisory skills, as well as the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. You should also be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Education and Experience: Must have a current RN license for the state of New York. Two years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related healthcare facility is preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Completion of post-secondary education, ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions, and capability to maintain regular attendance.
Our RN Unit Manager position comes with a competitive salary of $115,000 per year, as well as benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) plan.
