Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Group Exercise Instructor to lead our fitness classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment.

As a Group Exercise Instructor, you will play a crucial role in promoting member wellness and engagement while ensuring that all activities align with YMCA policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, the ability to motivate and educate members, and a strong passion for physical fitness. Estimated salary: $20-$30 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Instruct group classes that promote physical fitness and well-being.
  • Create a safe and enjoyable learning environment that fosters member engagement.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse participants.
  • Provide feedback and support to members to help them achieve their fitness goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years' experience in group exercise instruction.
  • 25 hours of practical experience as a fitness class instructor.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
