Job Summary

Williams-Keepers is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Audit team as Interns. As an Audit Intern, you will assist in resolving audit issues, obtain evidence, and make inquiries of clients while supporting the team with daily client workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with substantive areas of the audit, including cash, accounts payable, and expense testing.
  • Participate in internal control walk-throughs and documentation.
  • Prepare clear and concise workpapers with appropriate documentation and conclusions.
  • Develop efficient work habits, ensuring accuracy, organization, and promptness.
  • Communicate effectively regarding work schedule, status of projects, and other issues.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Pursuing a minimum of a bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in accounting.
  • Senior standing or higher.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe software platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Adhere to all firm policies and procedures, as outlined in the Associate Handbook.
  • Be pleasant, courteous, and helpful with staff and clients.
  • Be efficient and organized when carrying out tasks.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work environment for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and business transactions.
Professional Development

The Audit Department Intern is expected to develop professionally by participating in in-house continuing professional education opportunities, accepting additional responsibility, representing the firm and promoting its image on campus, and learning new technology introduced into the work environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift pounds at times.
  • Extended hours are required at certain times throughout the year, depending on client needs.
