Responsibilities:
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist specializing in Cardiology, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures, such as myocardial perfusion imaging and PET scans.
- Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to ensure accurate imaging results.
- Operating and maintaining state-of-the-art nuclear medicine equipment, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- Monitoring patient conditions during procedures and providing compassionate care and support.
- Analyzing imaging data to produce high-quality images for physician review.
- Maintaining precise patient records and documentation for all procedures.
- Collaborating with cardiologists, radiologists, and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Following strict radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and staff.
- Engaging in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nuclear medicine program.
- Preferred minimum of one year of experience in the nuclear medicine field.
- Current state licensure and registry in nuclear medicine through NMTCB and/or ARRT.
- CPR certification.
