At Prisma Health, we are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality care. As a Registered Nurse in our Surgical Specialty Unit, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive work environment.

The Nurse Residency Program is designed for new graduate nurses who want to launch their nursing career with a solid foundation. This comprehensive program combines foundational and specialty-specific clinical core curriculum, quality classes, simulation, one-on-one skills validation, hands-on application with clinical mentors, and professional development.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work under the direct supervision of experienced licensed RNs and develop your critical thinking skills. You will also participate in managing clinical situations, refining your nursing knowledge and skills, and adhering to policy and procedure requirements.

To be successful in this role, you must have an Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Additionally, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in South Carolina. If you are a new grad nurse with less than one year of nursing experience, please apply to this requisition.

We offer a competitive salary range of $64,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience, education, and location. Our benefits package includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • Assessment: Collect patient data and complete required forms with appropriate responses according to unit standards.
  • Planning Care: Develop a plan of care based on nursing process and which incorporates the plans of other disciplines and continuing care needs.
  • Implementing/Managing Care: Provide treatments/procedures and other care as prescribed and according to patient care standards.
  • Evaluation: Record patient care delivered as planned and any variation, with appropriate rationale.
