Overview:
As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional nursing care through the application of the nursing process. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to uphold the standards of professional nursing practice.

Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours:

Daily Work Times:
7:00pm – 7:30am

Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care while adhering to hospital policies, the mission of the institution, and the standards set forth by professional and regulatory guidelines. You will direct, coordinate, and delegate activities to promote patient and family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.
  • Plan and implement nursing care tailored to the needs of patients and their families.
  • Make appropriate interventions based on individual patient requirements.
  • Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
  • Assume personal accountability for the quality of patient care, patient satisfaction, and professional development.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited Nursing program
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan
  • Minimum of one year of RN experience in a hospital environment
  • BLS certification from AHA required prior to start date (valid for at least 60 days beyond start date)
  • ACLS certification (to be obtained by the end of unit orientation)
Preferred:
  • TCAR certification
  • Experience in Step Down or Critical Care settings
