UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing exceptional post-acute rehabilitation services. This innovative 52-bed hospital is designed to cater to individuals recovering from various conditions, including strokes, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, complex neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, and amputations. Our facility features private patient rooms and expansive therapy gymnasiums equipped with cutting-edge therapeutic technologies, such as augmented reality balance training and advanced therapy robotics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the care provided by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy Technicians, including orienting new staff and students, and stepping in as supervisor when necessary
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' needs and implement suitable physical therapy interventions while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting care plans as necessary and communicating with physicians regarding patient progress
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients, ensuring timely quality improvement evaluations
  • Address patient pain management issues to enhance rehabilitation participation and overall function
  • Develop and maintain individualized care plans for each patient
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Valid Physical Therapist license in the relevant state
  • Preferred experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
