Job Summary

At Deborah Heart and Lung Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our Clinical Laboratory team. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing routine and special diagnostics testing and lab procedures in various specialty sections of the Clinical Laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, and microbiology.
• Maintain accurate and reliable results, adhering to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.
• Participate in training new hires and serve as a general supervisor as needed.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience working in a clinical laboratory as a Medical Technologist, with a strong understanding of CLIA testing personnel requirements.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
• ASCP/ASMT/NCA/HHS/ASPT certification preferred; Board-eligible for MT certification.
• Excellent customer service skills, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

• Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated and enthusiastic, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
• Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
• Experience: 1 year of experience working in a clinical laboratory as a Medical Technologist.
• Licenses & Certifications: ASCP/ASMT/NCA/HHS/ASPT certification preferred; Board-eligible for MT certification.
• Preferred: Amer Soc Clin Path
