Job SummaryThis role is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care through the administration of medications, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective treatment plans. The successful candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, analyze data, and develop personalized treatment plans
- Administer medications in a safe and controlled environment, adhering to regulatory guidelines and Bon Secours policies
- Serve as a patient advocate, participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
- Process medication orders, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness, and provide education to patients and families
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans, promoting seamless care coordination
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD degree
- Advanced pharmacy degree (Doctor of Pharmacy, Masters, or Residency) preferred
- Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state(s) where practicing
- Valid state-issued ID
- BLS Basic Life Support certification preferred
- Immunization certification preferred
- 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting
- 1 year of leadership experience preferred
- Experience in field of pharmacy practice
- Knowledge of pharmacy operating systems and automation
- Computer proficiency in MS Office, spreadsheets, and drug databases
- Core knowledge of medications, including adverse effects, interactions, and proper dosing
- Regulatory compliance expertise
