We are seeking a Production Operator to join our team at Ascensus Specialties in Elma, WA. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (four days on, four days off). As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for processing sodium ISO containers, handling supplies and shipments, conducting maintenance, and overseeing production with a DCS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ISO Container Management: Heating, emptying, and switching ISO containers.
  • Material Handling & Maintenance: Unloading raw materials, filter changes, sampling, cleaning equipment, loading/unloading products, equipment setup, preventive maintenance, product packaging, and warehouse support.
  • Documentation: Recording inventory, environmental, and process readings.
  • Process Monitoring & Control: Taking readings, learning and operating the DCS, monitoring the process, communicating issues, and making adjustments.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to perform other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or Operations Manager.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Effective communication and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Adaptability: Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Independence: Capable of performing work functions with minimal supervision.
  • Precision: Keen attention to detail.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership potential, including decision-making and integrity.
Benefits:

Candidates with limited or no experience start at $21.50 per hour. Candidates with direct experience as a Chemical Operator may start higher. We also offer a salary range of $26.00 to $33.80 per hour for Operators, and up to $36.40 per hour for experienced Operators. This position is eligible for our Plant Incentive Bonus (PIB) at 6% eligibility based on individual and plant performance. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), three weeks' vacation, 40 hours of sick leave, and 12 paid holidays. We also provide basic life insurance, AD&D, STD, and LTD at no cost to employees.
