Job Title: Travel Contract RN

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Contract RN to join our team at a top-rated hospital in Binghamton, New York.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow and excellent outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines, ensuring well-coordinated patient care and effective communication with the healthcare team.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure smooth transitions.
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Completion of a fully accredited RN program
  • Minimum three years current Telemetry and Emergency Room experience
  • Active unencumbered RN New York state license

  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster
  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
