Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain superior knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation in multiple specialties.
  • Deliver continuing education topics to staff and serve as a liaison to instrument technicians.
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with Biomedical Services to address equipment repair and maintenance needs.
  • Educate staff on the care and maintenance of instrumentation and equipment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CST/CSFA) certification.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a surgical setting.
  • Able to work in at least three different specialty areas.
