Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CSS Specialist to join our team at Wayne Hospital Company. This part-time, first shift position requires a strong background in sterile processing and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, disassemble, package, and sterilize reusable surgical instruments or devices to ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of sterility monitors and implement actions as required by Committee and Quality Council.
  • Assist with inventory control and maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Perioperative Services to ensure seamless department operations.
Requirements
  • Certification course in Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred and must be completed within 1 year of hire.
  • One year or greater previous instrument processing experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Ability to maintain ongoing compliance and/or education related to the Sterile Processing Field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and dependability, with a self-motivated approach to work.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 25 lbs and performing bending, twisting, and reaching.
