Job Summary

This position involves providing speech and language assessments and evaluations for children with complex diagnoses, as well as providing speech-language intervention to enrolled children and instructing parents and caregivers in communication-related activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of speech and language pathology theory, techniques, and principles, as well as experience working with pediatric populations and families.

This is a re-post of a previous position, and all applicants remain under consideration. The position is exempt from the State Human Resources Act, with the exception of Articles 6 and 7.

Responsibilities
  • Provide speech and language assessments and evaluations for children with complex diagnoses
  • Develop and implement individualized speech-language intervention plans for enrolled children
  • Instruct parents and caregivers in communication-related activities to support child development
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to children and families
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to stay current with best practices in speech and language pathology
Requirements
  • Master's degree in speech and language pathology from an accredited institution
  • North Carolina licensure as a speech-language pathologist
  • Experience working with pediatric populations and families
  • Strong understanding of speech and language pathology theory, techniques, and principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
