Emergency Medicine Faculty Position

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time academic position in the Department of Emergency Medicine. This role is available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, focusing on scholarly activities in clinical research, educational initiatives, patient care processes, or other academic interests.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong record of scholarly productivity and publication, actively participate in regional and national professional organizations, and engage with various aspects of our clinical care, education, and research missions.
Qualifications:
- Current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
- Additional fellowship training or notable accomplishments in the field are highly regarded.
- Proven track record of scholarly publications and academic contributions in a specific area of emergency medicine.
- Demonstrated leadership, clinical operations experience, faculty mentoring, and academic project development are desirable.

About Our Department:
Our Emergency Department has maintained its status as a Level 1 trauma center since 1982, holding numerous specialty accreditations, including a chest pain center and a stroke center. We also house one of the few burn centers in North Carolina and provide comprehensive subspecialty support. Our co-located pediatric emergency department is recognized as North Carolina's first Level 1 pediatric trauma center.
Our clinical affiliate physicians manage 27 emergency departments statewide, serving over 800,000 patients annually. The Emergency Medicine residency program, one of the oldest in the nation, celebrates its 50th year of training with a competitive recruitment process. We offer fellowships in various specialties, including Emergency Medicine Research, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and Global Emergency Medicine.
