Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Ronin Staffing, LLC. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing various surfaces for painting, applying paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes, and maintaining and repairing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including washing, dewaxing, patching, plastering, caulking, taping, glazing, repairing, sanding, and scraping.
  • Apply paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, enamels, and other finishes using rollers, brushes, and sprayers.
  • Maintain and repair equipment, including sprayers, sanders, paint shakers, and spray booths.
  • Perform lead abatement, as necessary, to safely remove lead-based paints from interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Collaborate with other skilled trades and Facilities Services team members to complete minor renovation projects and maintenance projects.
  • Perform computer input within the work order system for recording of labor and materials used in work performed.
Requirements
  • 4 years of journey-level experience in the painting skilled trade related to maintenance, repair, and construction.
  • Experience with proper usage of colorants, paints, primers, solvents, patching compounds, sealers, lacquers, enamels, epoxies, and thinners.
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, man-lifts, and boom trucks at varying heights of up to 25 feet above grade; lift up to 75 pounds; perform repetitive lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
  • Ability to record information accurately as is necessary to perform the job responsibilities.
  • Knowledge and ability to properly and safely work with colorants, paints, primers, solvents, patching compounds, sealers, lacquers, enamels, epoxies, and thinners.
