Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at LHC Group. This role offers a unique chance to provide compassionate care to patients in their homes, restoring them to their fullest physical ability.
About the Role:
This position involves working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Home Health, responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients in their residences. As part of our team, you will be expected to follow established policies and procedures and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will have current OTA licensure in Massachusetts, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. You should also possess strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively instruct patients, family members, and caregivers in areas within your scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, following evidence-based treatment protocols and state-specific laws governing occupational therapy assistants;
Instruct and aid patients in developing skills necessary for daily living and independence;
Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to supervising OTs, nurse supervisors, and physicians;
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care;
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies for improving function and promoting overall well-being;
