We are a leading environmental services company seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Lead Consulting Utility Forester. This role will be responsible for leading vegetation management operations, project teams, emergency response, and outside contractor work performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Vegetation Management Operations: Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of vegetation management projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Project Team Leadership: Lead project teams to achieve project objectives, manage project timelines, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
- Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans to address vegetation-related hazards and ensure public safety.
- Contractor Management: Manage outside contractors to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Data Management: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform vegetation management decisions.
- Safety and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with vegetation management operations, ensuring a safe working environment for employees and the public.
- Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including property owners, public agencies, and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in forestry or a related field, or equivalent experience in utility line clearance or species identification skills and invasive species knowledge.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of leading teams and achieving project objectives.
- Emergency Response Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency response and/or hazard tree removal projects along utility rights of way.
- Skills and Certifications: ISA Arborist Certification, valid driver's license, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and data collection software.
