Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our digital systems team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex digital systems using FPGA technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-performance digital systems using FPGA technology
  • Implement HDL for systems-on-chip or FPGAs in systems with or without microcontrollers
  • Develop hardware design specifications based on requirements or concept sketches and perform technical planning, circuit level design, implementation, verification, formal Acceptance, and Production tests
  • Perform functional analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition to address customer requirements
  • Lead and actively participate in hardware design, including architecture plan, and direct generation of functional block diagrams, state diagrams, and schematics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in FPGA technology and apply this knowledge to improve design efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in EE or Computer Engineering
  • Secret clearance
  • Experience with performing verification for Defense microelectronics systems
  • Experience with the microelectronics design and verification landscape, including many types of IP Blocks
  • Experience with Universal Verification Methodology
  • Experience with continuous integration development practices
  • Master's degree in EE, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering preferred; Doctorate degree in EE, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering a plus
