About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Sales Associate at Petco. As a Sales Associate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth in our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by determining guest needs and sharing product knowledge to suggest appropriate merchandise.
  • Perform point-of-sale transactions, including cash sales, credit and check sales, returns, and exchanges.
  • Assist in stocking and facing merchandise according to established standards.
  • Ensure the health and well-being of live animals by providing correct care in accordance with Petco standards.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual physical inventory counts.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and pull 2000 pounds utilizing material handling equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
