Acute Care Registered Nurse - Emergency Services

Virtus Healthcare Staffing, LLC is partnering with a leading healthcare facility in Eureka, CA to recruit a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for their Emergency Services department.

This is an excellent opportunity to provide crucial care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your expertise will make a real difference.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver prompt and efficient care to patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies.
  • Perform comprehensive triage assessments, prioritizing patient needs and initiating appropriate interventions.
  • Administer medications and treatments, including advanced life support measures, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Effectively communicate with patients and their families during stressful situations, providing reassurance and support.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care.
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Current California Registered Nurse License
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
  • PALS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
  • 1 year of nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in emergency nursing or a related acute care setting
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
