Compliance Specialist

About the Role:
Total Quality Logistics is seeking a Compliance Specialist to assist the Legal Department in the development, enhancement, retention, and documentation of compliance-related activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and be able to process, maintain, and analyze compliance-related data and records.
Responsibilities include:
- Researching laws and regulations pertinent to TQL and its affiliates and subsidiaries
- Preparing and maintaining manuals, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance with various laws and regulations
- Overseeing implementation and monitoring of compliance manuals, policies, and procedures
- Identifying gaps in documentation, or potential areas of non-compliance, and suggesting resolutions
- Keeping other TQL departments and subsidiaries and affiliates abreast of relevant legal and regulatory requirements and coordinating compliance activities among the various departments, subsidiaries, and/or affiliates
- Preparing relevant reports relating to legal compliance activities by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
- Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other tasks as needed
- Audits and analyzes systems and processes to ensure compliance with external and internal standards
What You Need:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in legal, compliance, audit, or working knowledge of laws and/or regulations.
Exceptional analytical, verbal, organizational, and written communication skills are required.
Acute attention to detail and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) are also necessary.
