Patient Care Assistant

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will play a vital role in delivering safe and effective patient care within the Preoperative and Recovery settings of our Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing high-quality patient care in the Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Support nursing staff in the Operating Room, Central Supply, and reception areas as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure optimal patient care.
Educational Requirements:
A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred for this position.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in using electronic vital sign equipment, thermometers, scales, and in the removal of intravenous catheters.
- Capable of safely transferring patients between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with patients and team members.
Licensure Requirements:
Must possess a valid State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certificate and obtain American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or an equivalent within 90 days of employment.
