Construction Field Experience with Virtual Building Practices

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Construction Technology Intern in Lehigh Valley, PA. As a Construction Technology Intern, you will assist our Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and project teams through all phases of a project, from initiation to turnover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist VDC and project teams with tasks such as 3D modeling, rendering, and animations to support project visualization
  • Conduct site logistics planning, 3D printing applications, and mixed media such as Virtual Reality, Augmented or Mixed Reality
  • Develop 3D as-built deliverables and assist with Integrated Digital Turnover and the development of digital twins
  • Support prefabrication and offsite construction practices, using a total station to support digital layout
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and owners to mitigate construction conflicts uncovered during the Virtual Building Process
  • Participate in weekly meetings, including OAC, Virtual Building, Subcontractor, and Team meetings
  • Assist with reviewing construction documents and specifications, and responding to subcontractor RFIs
  • Support quality control and safety, and assist with punchlist and project closeout
Requirements
  • Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Sketchup and Autodesk CAD, Revit, and Navisworks Manage
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
