We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at CAD Engineering Resources.
Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes, identifying and implementing process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality processes and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
- Evaluate designs, drawings, and project plans to ensure quality and reliability.
- Provide guidance and support to manufacturing teams to ensure effective quality systems are in place.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to coordinate PPAP processes and drive process improvements.
- Analyze SPC data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including process manuals and training materials.
- Ensure effective containment actions are in place to protect customers when quality issues arise.
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of experience in quality engineering or supplier development.
- Large and medium metal stamping and assembly background experience.
- Knowledge of resistance and MIG welding processes.
- Familiarity with GD&T.
- Solid working knowledge of PPAP processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent industrial design experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASQC certified Quality Engineer.
- Experience with Six Sigma and ISO 9001 certification.
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience.
- Process development experience.
- Basic computer skills and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Salary:
$37 - $48 per hour.
