Job Title: Director of Finance and Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance and Operations to join our team at All Our Kin LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our finance team, managing our financial operations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance team in completing day-to-day financial tasks, grants management, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, payroll, bank reconciliations, insurance and tax reporting, and cash flow planning and monitoring.
  • Supervise and manage staff of 2 Full Time employees on the finance team.
  • Collaborate with outsourced controller to manage all bookkeeping functions, including proper maintenance of the chart of accounts, coding, expense allocations, and oversight of accounts receivable and payable.
  • Facilitate the monthly closing of organization's books and records and production of the monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate with the development team to implement and maintain timely and accurate financial records and reports for funders.
  • Ensure the annual audit preparation is completed in accordance with GAAP and other requirements and in a timely manner. Liaise with the auditor.
  • Formulate, recommend, and implement sound fiscal policies, procedures, and controls consistent with GAAP and agency policies.
  • Liaise with funders on financial matters and manage online systems.
  • Manage federally funded Early Head Start grant.
  • Supervise grant account to ensure compliance with funder requirements.

Requirements:

  • Five years of increasingly responsible fiscal management experience, including two years in a supervisory and management capacity.
  • Previous experience with non-profit financial operations highly desired.
  • Track record of building, motivating, and developing finance or accounting teams.
  • A master's or bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, management, or another relevant field.
  • A history of demonstrating discretion with confidential information.
