As a Summer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects and contribute to the company's mission of inventing, designing, and building what's best in aerospace.

Responsibilities

As an Industrial Engineering and Operations Excellence Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Utilizing analytical skills to analyze capacity, tool and equipment utilization, and line balancing to optimize production processes.
  • Developing and implementing Lean improvement plans and schedules to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
  • Conducting studies on cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assisting facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities to ensure maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • Developing and providing time standards to the shop floor as well as standard work for operations and processes.
  • Defining improvement projects aligned with business strategies through the use of Just-In-Time/Lean manufacturing tools and techniques.

  • Be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident).
  • Be enrolled full-time in a university degree program aligned to the area of internship.
  • Be a current sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in good academic standing.
