About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud Expert to join our team at City National Bank. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement solutions to improve the stability, security, and scalability of our cloud platforms
  • Develop and maintain monitoring tools and systems to ensure proactive alerts and responses to reliability risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and deployment of new features and services
  • Perform engineering activities such as performance tuning, deployment, and production support
  • Design, build, and manage Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Error Budgets for critical services
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an operational role, DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing applications with an active user base and deploying to production
  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing in.NET Core, Java, NodeJS, or Python
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with development or administration on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Elasticsearch/Splunk and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, or AppDynamics
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Cloud Foundry, Heroku, or Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of modern, cloud-centric architectures and DevOps principles
  • Experience with the operational aspects of software systems such as monitoring, centralized logging, and alerting
