Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Explain procedures in a clear and concise manner, alleviating patient anxiety and ensuring informed consent.
  • Position patients on examination tables for optimal testing conditions, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper function and minimizing downtime.
  • Recognize and differentiate between normal and pathological processes, artifacts, and other imaging findings.
  • Collect and analyze data, making informed decisions to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within one year of employment.
  • Previous ultrasound technologist experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
