Position Summary
The role involves planning, setting up, and executing machine and bench operations essential for the creation, modification, or repair of tools, jigs, fixtures, dies, molds, or gauges characterized by intricate designs derived from complex blueprints, diagrams, or samples.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and conduct test runs of tools.
- Carry out other job-related tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferred: Journeyman Tool and Die Maker certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to operate under time constraints with shifting priorities.
- Robust analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in project design and management.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse personalities.
- Experience with close tolerances.
- Manual dexterity is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tool room environment is required.
- Knowledge of heat treating processes.
- Basic computer and internet proficiency.
This position is hourly/non-exempt.
