Position Overview
As a Surgical Care Registered Nurse (SCRN), you will be tasked with delivering exceptional care to adult patients facing a variety of health challenges and recuperating from surgical procedures. In the Surgical Care unit of a healthcare organization, your role will be vital in facilitating patient recovery prior to their discharge. SCRNs are recognized for managing a significant patient load, catering to diverse patient demographics, and maintaining flexibility in the ever-evolving nursing landscape. While the majority of SCRNs operate within hospital Surgical Care units, there are also opportunities available in alternative environments such as camps, clinics, educational institutions, and outpatient care facilities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Degree
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Degree
- Completion of an ADN or BSN program and successful passage of the NCLEX examination are essential for obtaining an RN license.
- Must possess a valid state RN license.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be necessary.
Additional Qualifications
- BSN degree is mandatory
- A minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience is required
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week contract with adaptable scheduling is essential
- Per Diem shifts available, contingent upon recent experience
