Job Summary

Tate Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to oversee the activities of our manufacturing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the work of operators and other department personnel, ensuring the production of high-quality products on time and at the required cost.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, with experience in supervising and training employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the work of operators and other department personnel to ensure the production of high-quality products.
  • Develop and implement departmental productivity and responsibility plans to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure the safety of department employees by enforcing safety policies and procedures, and conducting regular safety meetings.
  • Train and mentor new hires to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their job tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Support cross-training of employees within the department to improve flexibility and adaptability.
  • Oversee programs for department safety, quality, and environmental concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including attendance, disciplinary actions, and safety incidents.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous supervisory experience or education required.
  • 8-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to use various tools and measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and integrity.
  • Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift.
