Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

This employer will be conducting interviews at our Multi-Industry Job & Community Resource Fair, held at PA CareerLink Bucks County. The Job Fair hours are 10:30 AM -- 12:30 PM. For more information, please contact the event organizers.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Repair complex mechanical issues on vehicles, including engine, transmission, brake, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot problems.
  • Follow manufacturer's guidelines and technical specifications for all repairs and maintenance work.
  • Accurately report work performed, including parts used and hours worked.
  • Work collaboratively with other mechanics and technicians to complete jobs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and advancements in vehicle technology.
  • Mentor and share information with junior D-level mechanics to help develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Keep shop area clean and organized.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient D-Level Mechanic experience working on trucks or heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Certification from a technical school or equivalent work experience.
  • Willing to learn new technology.
  • Proficient use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stamina to perform manual labor as required.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain class A/B CDL.
  • PA State Inspection Certification is a must.
