DCS Corp is offering a remarkable opportunity for a Principal Program Manager within our AFLCMC/HBG group.
The C2ISR Division oversees a broad range of responsibilities that deliver comprehensive support for various aircraft and systems, including the U-2 and E-8C JSTARS. This division ensures global life cycle support for the C2ISR capabilities, which encompasses supply chain management, distribution, material oversight, acquisition, systems engineering, maintenance, financial planning, security, and contracting.
As part of the Global Network Systems (GNS) Branch, located at Hanscom AFB, MA, you will play a pivotal role in executing significant GNS programs that support the C2ISR Division, such as the AF DCGS Network Infrastructure Transformation and the Global Command and Control System – Air Force Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate cost and schedule optimization for acquisition and development initiatives.
- Provide acquisition support to the Program Manager and Integrated Product Team Leads, ensuring effective program execution.
- Deliver strategic insights to program leadership to enhance contract execution and assess overall program health.
- Prepare and present various program status briefings and acquisition task schedules to senior management.
- Contribute expert Program Management input to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and related documentation.
- Review acquisition documents for consistency and accuracy, providing programmatic feedback.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory and regulatory acquisition reports.
- Implement acquisition processes in collaboration with government and prime contractors.
- Provide guidance on DoD acquisition principles and policies.
- Identify and address policy discrepancies and management issues related to acquisition efforts.
- Advise on best practices to enhance program management efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the planning and execution of program acquisition strategies, including risk assessments and market research.
- Coordinate with scheduling personnel at the program level.
- Develop and maintain program risk management plans, facilitating risk identification and analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of funding documents and acquisition reports.
- Support mission execution through operational planning and analysis.
- Ensure that Mission Planning Environment systems are effectively managed to meet operational requirements.
- Evaluate proposals and provide recommendations for contract awards.
- Support risk assessments and provide guidance on DoD directives.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the sensitive nature of the role.
A High School Diploma with 20 years of experience, including 15 years in the DoD, or a Bachelor's degree with 15 years of experience, including 10 years in the DoD.
An adjudicated DoD Secret Security clearance is required upon employment.
Familiarity with cloud-based systems and agile methodologies is essential.
Comprehensive knowledge of systems acquisition and program management principles is necessary.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are crucial for effective documentation and reporting.
