The Main Operating Room at Northwest Healthcare is equipped with 16 surgical suites within a specialized surgical wing, performing advanced and minimally invasive surgical procedures. Be part of a dedicated team of surgical experts committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

As an RNFA at Northwest Healthcare, you will be integral in ensuring high-quality care for our patients. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, a 401K plan, flexible scheduling options, full reimbursement for licensure and certification renewals, tuition assistance, and up to $10,000 for student loan repayments.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree required, along with CRNFA and CNOR certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
  • Current RN license in Arizona or a compact state license is mandatory for RNFA roles.
  • Completion of a Surgical Assistant program accredited by NIFA with certification as an RNFA is essential.
  • All First Assistants must possess BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI).
  • ACLS certification is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The RNFA will assess perioperative patients, develop, implement, and document nursing care specific to surgical needs. This role involves performing surgical tasks under the guidance of a surgeon, fulfilling both scrub and circulating nurse responsibilities.
  • Prepare for surgical procedures and proactively anticipate the needs of the physician during operations.
