At HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Transplant Coordinator. This role is crucial in planning, coordinating, and implementing the care of solid organ transplant/VAD patients in both in-patient and out-patient settings.

Job Description

The Transplant Coordinator RN will act as a liaison with the organ procurement organization and the OPTN, assessing human, financial, and material resources of patients and families. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating information flow among medical, ancillary, nursing, financial, and insurance company staff
  • Representing the VAD and transplant program through involvement in hospital and community activities
  • Acting as a resource for the VAD INTERMACS database and transplant statistical database

A successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in critical care, organ failure/transplant patients, and VAD experience is preferred.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.
