Job Title: Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse

ChristianaCare, a leading healthcare provider in the Mid-Atlantic Region, is seeking a skilled Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse to join our team. As a WOCN, you will serve as a clinical resource and consultant for the acute and rehabilitative care of patients with select disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert care and management for patients with wounds, fistulas, ostomies, and incontinence issues, with a focus on pressure injury prevention and treatment.
  • Facilitate the learning process for patients and families, influencing changes in behavior, knowledge, attitudes, and psychomotor skills.
  • Develop and deliver informative programs to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge related to wound, ostomy, and incontinence care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required, MSN preferred.
  • 3-5 years of acute care nursing experience, leadership experience preferred.
  • WOCN certification preferred, or completion of certification required within 2 years of starting.
