Summary of Role

The Medical Technologist Generalist (MT) applies their education, experience, and analytical skills to deliver precise specimen assay results. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting tests on various specimen types to provide critical patient management information to healthcare providers in Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Transfusion Service, and Specimen Processing.
  • Training may occur in all or selected areas based on laboratory requirements.
  • Adhering to Laboratory and Corporate Compliance as mandated by regulatory bodies.

Our laboratory serves a diverse patient population, including newborns, adolescents, and occasionally adults. Detailed procedures are outlined in our manuals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
  • Certification as MT (ASCP), MT (AMT), or MT (HEW), or equivalent registration or eligibility.
Compensation

This is a temporary assignment with competitive pay of $43/hr plus a 10% completion bonus.
