Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Texas Health Fort Worth. As a Clinical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory testing and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens for testing
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures as directed by laboratory staff
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory results and testing procedures
  • Assist laboratory staff with testing and procedures as needed
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • CLIAFE certification required
  • Completion of one course in phlebotomy preferred
  • 6 months experience as a phlebotomist or specimen processor highly preferred
  • Microbiology Laboratory experience highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • PBT (ASCP) certification preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
