About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer Advisor to join our team. As a Senior Systems Engineer Advisor, you will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements and providing technical solutions to complex problems. You will also perform maintenance and upgrade of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer requirements and provide technical solutions to complex problems
  • Perform maintenance and upgrade of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks
  • Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
  • Coordinate the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed
  • Create plans and configure systems for data communication networks
  • Design and build hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks
  • Evaluate new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Will coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
  • Design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems. Coordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing
  • Will serve as a team or task lead
Requirements:
  • Must have an active Secret Level security clearance
  • Must hold and maintain active CompTIA IAT 8570 Level II (i.e. Security+CE) certification or higher
  • Must hold and maintain active Cisco CCNP R&S certification or higher (or achieve within 6 months of hire)
  • Must have BA/BS, 8+ years of experience; or equivalent
  • Must be onsite in Hampton, Virginia
